Rolla Seniors Sign on the Dotted Line
Football and Basketball Selections

Megan Taylor from
Rolla High School signed with Friends University to
play basketball Monday, April 28. Megan was watched by (back)
summer
coach Donna Glave, assistant high school coach Jolene Kabriel,
head
high school coach Rich Spencer, Friends University head coach
Gayla
Soyez, mom Traci Taylor and dad Harve Taylor.
Taylor averaged
14.4 points per game during her senior season with 8.4
rebounds per game and 3 assists per game. Taylor was named to the
KBCA
Academic All-State Team, Santa Fe Trail League 1st team,
All-Area
Honorable Mention and All-State Honorable Mention. Taylor will
major
in Health Science at Friends University.
Coach Richard
Spencer said, "Megan has had great success on the
basketball court as well as in the classroom. She has a very
bright
four years ahead of her as she follows her dreams as a
collegiate
student athlete."
Rolla senior Michael Edmondson signed his letter of intent to play football for Dodge City Community College early Thursday morning, February 5. With the support of his teammates and classmates, Edmondson and his uncle, Troy Cooper, signed the letter of intent.
"I picked DCCC because throughout the recruiting process,
I felt the most comfortable with the DC3 program," stated Edmondson
after signing. Edmondson was 1st Team All Santa Fe Trail League
football and 2nd team basketball. He was also named All-Area
Honorable Mention basketball this year.
Football coach Mark Berokoff said, "It is an exciting day for Rolla
football. Michael's four years of dedication has led up to this
significant event. As a staff and as a team, we are extremely proud
and excited about Michael's next two years of
football."
