Hoopin' for a Cure

The Texhoma Red Devils vs Rolla Pirates game this year was in the pink, literally. Fans were encouraged to wear pink to the game. Players donned pink "Hoopin' for a Cure" t-shirts as their warm-up shirts at the February 2 game in Texhoma. The Texhoma FCA sponsored the evening and donations went to the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Fund. Donors made it possible to cloth all the athletes in the pink shirts for the evening. Rolla and Texhoma athletes joined on the court, forming a pink ribbon of people for a photo. Local donors making shirts possible for the Rolla student athletes included State Farm-Mindy Dougherty, First National Bank-Shayne Haynes, Corner Stop - Pat DeGarmo, Double T Industries - Johnnie Denton, and Jack and Helen Higgins.
