A.R.G.H. - 21st Century Community Learning Center
January 11, 2012
Rolla Schools have partnered with the Morton County Library (Rolla Branch) and the Rolla Recreation Commission to provide academic support and enrichment opportunities for all Rolla students and parents, with the reception of a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant. 21st Century CLC Grants are federally funded and are available for programs that provide quality academic and enrichment opportunities to children outside of the regular school day. With the help of this grant, we hope to provide a place for students to get the extra assistance they need to attain their educational goals. There will also be an opportunity to offer enrichment activities for all students such as activities, clubs, and trips.
ARGH! will take place on Fridays during the school year as well a summer camp during June. Students may attend from 8:00am to 3:00pm, with academics taking place in the morning followed by lunch and recess. In the afternoon there will be two time blocks for clubs. The first day for ARGH! will be Friday, January 20th.
The clubs in January and February consist of scrap-booking, recycled crafts, cooking, beginning guitar, dancing, fitness and energy exploration trips. To enroll your student, contact Rolla Elementary or Rolla JH/HS.
